Hey now!
It works!
Just have to upload .jpg files instead of .bmp files. I recall (now, naturally) that the web servers generally want .jpg (and .gif, I believe). Thanks again, Asis.

So, Nommy...why don't I see your avitar anymore? Did you bail out and select "None"? I can send you some neat "Sierra Nevada" pics, if you want.

On the lighter side...
Here in Emeryville there's a shuttle system (Emery-Go-Round) that basically covers the city, with stops at BART and Amtrak (Amtrak has a station in Emeryville, BART is what a lot of people use to commute with to and from work...quite a few Californians don't drive their car to work!)
One of the routes is Hollis St/Amtrak. Lighted sign on the front says that. As is common with most transit buses, there's also a much smaller sign in the back, so you can tell what bus you just missed. This one says...

HA

Better still, it blinks...

Green Belt? That must mean "Go Girl!" You can throw caution (yellow belt) to the wind, too.
Congratulations, Poly...

No, not a job. That would be a huge , but this is nice.
I got my green belt in karate this Sunday. Not that I actually have the piece of cloth - my teacher ordered it, but it hasn't arrived yet. However, he has told me to stop wearing the yellow one - it is no longer appropriate.
This has been a lot of work, and of course, it is just a sign post along the journey, not a rest stop. But I thought you guys would like to know. Broke one board with my hand and two with my foot in addition to all the other stuff.
My arms hurt this morning, but I expected that. It was a bit more intense than a regular class.

Well gang, the time has come to say some good byes. I landed a nice job in the private sector which means I am moving, this time to DC. Without a computer at home, I can't see having the time to hang out online all that often. So...
I move in July so I will be around for a bit more but wanted to say my good byes here before I got swamped. A generic thanks to one and all, without everyone here I never would have survived the troubles at Pathfinder and Sci Fi Sites. I have enjoyed all of your company and cherish the time I have with one and all. The trips, the chats, the posting, the stories, the general mayham. The good times so out weigh the bad.
Nommy: You have always made me laugh. I am going to miss trying to decipher your posts. (grins) Take care of your sprout and never stop being you.
Merle (who I know can no longer read this board but I would be remiss to exclude him) I have enjoyed the debates we have had. I am going to miss seeing what magic you screw up next and chatting with you about life in general.
Wizzard: Dude those margaritas rock. Between the bear hugs, margaritas and fatherly advice I have learned to turn to you for advice and comfort.
Ian: I will always have Brittania to remind me of you. Red Sox games have taken on a new meaning to you. It has been great chatting with you and introducing you to some of America.
Kimball: Writting with you has been a ton of fun. Take care of yourself and keep on having fun.
PollyMath: Good luck with the job search, you will find something in the near future. Thanks for the tour of New York.
Iznardy: Unique humor is an understatement. You have the capaility of making me laugh in ways that no one else can. Garibaldi and Kosh sit on my TV set and remind me of you every day.
Rantarn: Take care of your sprouts. You provided me with a sense of calm whenever I was a wee bit upset.
Wammy: OK so he has not posted here but I that is not because we didn't try and get him back. Wammy Bear has a special place in my teddy ebar collection. I can't help but look at him and smile. I have missed posting with you since you left Sci Fi Sites.
Azziz: Sorry old habits die hard. thanks for helping me through the rough times at Sci Fi Sites. I have enjoyed the many conversations we have had, even though my wallet did not. (grins)There are few people who I have travelled as much with and I cherish those memories. Take care of yourself.
OK sappy crap is over. I'll be around for a little while but that time will dminish as I get closer to moving. Its been fun.

Awwwww, I think I'm gonna cry
Too late!
It was so great to meet you and everyone else at Boston/Cape Cod, I don't think any of my memories are as joyous as those.
I've lost track of so many since then, I hate to lose track of another
Take care babe
(PS does this mean I can post the GOSG pic openly now?)
